MAFTNM Alumni Achievement-Class of 2022-Lexuan Wang

I am Lexuan Wang, from the Class of 2022 of the MA in Communication program-- Film, TV & New Media Concentration (FTNM), School of Culture and Creativity.

After joining UIC, I quickly fell in love with the UIC library, offering an excellent learning environment for students. During the first month of my postgraduate study, I regularly visited the UIC library and learned a lot from the daily readings.

The core and elective courses offered by the school have fully met my expectations. During my study at UIC, I could effectively communicate with many like-minded peers and students professionally. The Whole Person Development courses also added a vibrant touch to my extracurricular study, making my life more fulfilling and wonderful.

Although this is a one-year taught postgraduate program, it doesn’t hinder my plan to pursue further study and grow professionally. Specifically, I took every course assignment seriously during my study period at UIC, and I fully grasped every opportunity to communicate with different course instructors to enhance my understanding of various theories and knowledge. In the first half of the semester, one of my group projects was successfully published in one Chinese journal. Overall, I believe that study at UIC is the best thing that happened to me. Through the process of learning and communication, I became more confident and independent, and had a clearer picture and deep anticipation for the future.
