I am Yan Xueying, a graduate with a master's degree in the class of 2022 IMS.

On the premise of completing nine courses of UIC interactive media major and winning a first-class scholarship, I also attended more than ten courses for undergraduate and graduate students, which broadened my knowledge. After graduation, I studied game design at Turku Summer School in Finland and met students from more than a dozen countries and regions. In September this year, I will go to the UK to study for a master's degree in psychology from the University of Dundee. At present, the degree of discipline integration is getting higher and higher, especially with the rapid development of artificial intelligence, there is more and more intersection between interactive media and psychology in the aspect of human-computer interaction; and, the general research abilities such as literature review, literature summary and programming learned during UIC study are very helpful to the future learning and development.The free academic atmosphere of UIC and the relationship between teachers and friends have enabled me to overcome setbacks and ease my anxiety. I would like to thank my teachers for encouraging me to adhere to my academic ideals and reminding me that well-trained graduate students are always welcome.
