About Art as Research

This small-scaled Visual Art/ VA Project has been implemented as Practice-based Research/ PBR (Scrivener, 2002) that encourages students to explore/ employ the basic knowledge/ skills of critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem solving to come out creative art outcomes. Mostly important the students would employ the knowledge (Modern/ Post-Modern/ Contemporary Art) to upgrade/ engage Art as Research (McNiff, 2013).

About the Exhibition MADartnow2021

This VA project initiates students to react to the world around in a unique way by expressing ideas and concepts in which the viewer often brings their own interpretation. Having knowledge of how these ideas relate to history and culture in a global context allows a viewer to make a deeper interpretation and critical judgment of the art they are confronted with.

This exhibition is representing the work of art from the students of MAD4063 Visual Arts Since 1900 in UICDCCMAD.
