The definition of art has been argued in-between art as objects and the artworld-New Institutional Theory of Art(Dickie, 1974). The art critic and philosopher Arthur Danto writes"The Artworld" (1964) and seeing something as art requires something the eye cannot decry—an atmosphere of artistic theory, a knowledge of the history of art: an artworld. Danto reveals how contemporary aesthetics is defined by institutions and communities that make up ‘the artworld’- that art institutions such as museums and galleries, and specific agents working within them, have the power to dictatewhat is art and what is not(Oxford Reference, 2021).
The meetingwill mutually/continuously develop a platform to further foresee the New Art Learning & Teaching Praxis and Moves on contemporary art. It also explores and establishes a UIC ICON as contributingCulture and Creativity, and Innovationthat create our vison for abetter “art & culture geography”.
