【CCM Cultural Industry Field Trip】Art Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts


On November 22, 2025, all students taking the "International Cultural Trade" course of the Culture, Creativity and Management (CCM) Programme visited the Art Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts for a study tour. This visit was organized by the Director of CCM Programme, Associate Professor Dr. Xi Wang and Instructor Ms. Zhuo Luo. The visit focused on two major themed exhibitions held in the museum: Graphic Design in Japan Exhibition and the 1st Bay Area Art and Technology Triennial.

Teachers and students first focused on visiting and studying the graphic design works featured in the 2025 edition of Graphic Design in Japan Yearbook. During the exhibition visit, they discussed topics including the professional positioning of graphic designers in the AI era, the industrial chain innovation model of design and printing, and the recognition of aesthetic values in cross-cultural exchanges.

In addition, teachers and students also read and held discussions in the exhibition's reading area, studying on outstanding creative design cases and cultural practice activities. The students browsed a large number of magazines and design yearbooks on community renovation and public facility design, and held discussions on integrating these references with their group assignments and practical projects.

Subsequently, teachers and students also visited the 1st Bay Area Art and Technology Triennial, co-hosted by the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and the Digital Art Committee of the China Artists Association. Through forms such as video and installation art, the exhibition showcased three core sections: Tidal Rhythm, Brackish Memory, and Surging Boundaries, presenting the impact of technology on social rhythms, cultural preservation, and boundary forms.

Through close observation of outstanding international design cases and cutting-edge digital art practices in the Greater Bay Area during this field visit, CCM students gained a direct understanding of the management, operation, and future trends of creative design works and art projects, which laid a solid foundation for their subsequent professional learning and practice.
