Recently, the final of the 2nd Hengqin Tertiary Students Conference Challenge was successfully held at the Trinity Southern Headquarters Building in Hengqin. In this competition, the student team from the Culture, Creativity and Management (CCM) programme of Beijing Normal –Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) stood out with their outstanding conference planning proposal and excellent on-site performance, and won the “Best Presenter” Award.

The 2nd Hengqin Tertiary Students Conference Challenge was supported by the Zhuhai Municipal Education Bureau and the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. It was co-organized by six associations, including the Macao Convention & Exhibition Association, Macao Fair & Trade Association, and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Association. The competition not only provided a stage for students from Zhuhai and Hengqin to showcase their talents, but also effectively enhanced participants’ comprehensive skills in organizational coordination, teamwork, and innovative marketing through hands-on practice.
The CCM student team members included Yiwen Long, Ziyan Huang, Kairan Zhang, and Keren Wang, under the guidance of Dr. Xi Wang, Associate Professor and Programme Director of CCM. Their project, “Cross-Link, Smart Chain, Health-Share: 2026 Hengqin-Macao Future Hospitality Summit”, focused on the integrated development of the Hengqin–Macao convention and exhibition industry, highlighting forward-looking industry insights and practical feasibility. After fierce competition with 12 finalist teams from six universities, including Sun Yat-sen University and Zhuhai College of Science and Technology, the CCM team won the “Best Presenter” award.
Project Brief
The award-winning students said that the competition not only improved their professional skills in conference planning and live presentation, but also deepened their understanding of the actual operation process of the convention and exhibition industry, making it a highly valuable practical learning experience.
