Bio of the Speaker: Lin SHEN is associate professor of the Shanghai Normal University - Music College, Director of the Music Technology Department. He was studied music at Shanghai Conservatory of Music and School of Music of Bangor University, and now doing the PhD electroacoustic music project with professor Andrew Lewis. He is a composer that wrote several Electroacoustic music.  And he also is an active musician, in collaboration with the English, American and Chinese musicians performing all around the world.

Lecture1: Perspectives on the development of music technology in the context of artificial intelligence

This lecture presents an overview of the concept of music technology and its development process, analyses examples of experimental electronic music, applied electronic music and music composition with the participation of artificial intelligence technology. Then raises some questions about the use of music technology in the training of talents in music composition and production, and seeks to summarise some orientations for research and study in this field and prospects for future development.

Lecture2: Talking about advertising music and brand sound design from a musician's perspective.

The speaker, Shen Lin, has composed and produced a lot of advertising music over the years. In this lecture, he will give an insight into the process of designing commercial music and branding sound identity music. Also we’ll have the chance to hear some interesting stories behind the creation of the works, from the perspective of a commercial music producer and his personal experience. He aims to give the audience a better understanding of how commercial music is created and how it accompanies the development of brands, enhancing the musical culture of companies and brands.

In order to enrich the professional academic events of music performance this semester,expand the horizons of teachers and students, and better let the audience experience the beauty conveyed in music.We sincerely invited Professor Lin SHEN to give lectures in our division on November 10th and 11th.Lead teachers and students to further experience the charm of the interaction and collision of music, the integration and collision of music, technology and human in the same space. Technology can wake up music, and melody can light up the future.

During the lecture, students came to the stage to interact one after another, and the students also experienced the powerful charm of music technology.
