On 13 December 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the Greater Bay Area Medical–Arts Voice Alliance was held at Shenzhen University. The School of Culture and Creativity at Beijing Normal–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) was invited to attend the event and was officially recognized as a founding member of the Alliance.

Initiated by the Shenzhen Association for Arts and Science, the Alliance is jointly led by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Shenzhen University General Hospital, the Shenzhen University Centre for Integrative Research in Voice Medicine and Artistic Voice, and the Centre for Science and Arts at the Southern University of Science and Technology. It is an interdisciplinary professional community that brings together expertise from both medical and artistic fields. Based in the Greater Bay Area, the Alliance aims to build a collaborative platform characterized by medical–arts integration, resource sharing, collaborative innovation, and public service, promoting mutual development in voice health and artistic expression.

The core mission of the Alliance is to encourage exchange and collaboration between medical voice science and artistic voice practice through resource integration, public service initiatives, and the development of a sustainable professional ecosystem. Through academic research, professional exchange, technical training, and clinical translation, the Alliance seeks to enhance standards in voice health management as well as artistic vocal performance. In addition, by drawing on the cultural characteristics of the Greater Bay Area, the Alliance will carry out public programmes focusing on the prevention of voice disorders and the protection of artistic voice, serving the wider community, higher education institutions, and professional groups.

During the inauguration ceremony, an unveiling event and a certificate presentation for member institutions were held. As one of the founding members, The School of Culture and Creativity at BNBU was awarded membership alongside institutions such as the School of Arts at Sun Yat-sen University, the School of Arts at South China University of Technology, and the School of Music at Shenzhen Technology University.
