[DCC-MUS Lecture] The Contrast Trio: Classic & Modern


Contrast Trio, the ensemble-in-residence at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, will perform a concert entitled 'Classic & Modern' on Thursday 9 November at 7.00pm in the Music Recital Hall (CC-105). The concert, presented as part of the Visiting Artist Series by the Music Programme in the Division of Culture and Creativity, features violinist Kitty Cheung alongside Timothy Sun on saxophone and Jenny Ng on piano. The Contrast Trio is the only saxophone-violin-piano trio to have emerged and to regularly perform in Hong Kong. The programme includes works by J. S. Bach, Edward Elgar as well as living composers such as Hyung-Ki Joo (South Korea), Fung Lam (Hong Kong) and UIC's Assistant Professor of Music Kim-Kuok Ip (Macau).
