The principal aim of the Game Design Programme is to provide students with an education that prepares them for careers in the entertainment industry encompassing game production, animation and cinematics, architectural, medical and automotive industries, as well as for study in a diverse range of research and design disciplines, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and education. It will offer a broad training in theoretical knowledge and applicable skills in the field of game technologies and media, and provide students with fundamental education and training for future careers. Specifically, this interdisciplinary comprehensive training will encompass technical, scientific, and humanities aspects of game design. The Game Design Programme also aims to offer opportunities to students wishing to pursue a postgraduate education or to develop their own studios or businesses in the game design discipline related to the modern commercial and educational context.


Specifically, the Game Design Programme is designed to:

1) Give students a solid foundation in the applications of game design through

arts and technology, so as to strengthen their cognitive domain of this discipline in creative and entertainment industries;

2) Provide a broad-based and yet deep education and training in game design

so as to enable them to apply in practical fields while integrating their knowledge and skills to various related professions;

3) Train students in problem-solving tactics through creative ways and skills

for advancing game-related productions and solving professional issues; and

4) Stimulate students to undertake their responsibilities to contribute their creative visions, professional
