UIC's Liberal Arts Education encourages students to explore the fields that interest them. Therefore, students can transfer their undergraduate programmes, subject to college regulations.
Chen Ziqi
Chen Ziqi from the 2019 cohort was attracted by what the Culture, Creativity and Management (CCM) programme offers, as it combines business management and cultural creativity. Hence, she decided to transfer to the CCM programme. She pushed herself to adapt to the academic life in CCM, with self-learning and time management skills developing a lot. Recently, she exposed herself to new experiences, including developing games appealing to bird protection, becoming a video producer on social media, and taking part-time product R&D and online operation jobs in bakery shops.
Liao Zihong
Third-year student
From English Language and Literature Studies (ELLS)
to Cinema and Television (CTV)
Liao Zihong decided to follow his dream, getting into the Cinema and Television (CTV) Programme, though he appreciated what he had learned in the ELLS programme. He, as the newcomer, still remembers the help from other CTV students when meeting difficulties and challenges.
The movie production industry requires professionals to manage time, human resources, and event planning. Therefore, Zihong felt the significance of developing his management and adaptation skills to work in this industry in the future.
More information about programme transferring
Students can apply for programme transferring during the second semester in the first year entering UIC. The Academy Registry (AR) will consider comprehensive factors for final permissions on students' applications.
