The "MADartnow 2021" course exhibition opened at the DCC Building Ground Floor on December 2, 2021. The month-long exhibition presents six groups of works by Media Art and Design students from the course Visual Arts Since 1900. The course covers most key theories, philosophical trends, political and social changes that have shaped the development of Modern, Post-Modern, and Contemporary Art, such as: Constructivism, Cubism, Dada, Der Blaue Reiter and so on.
This Visual Art project initiates students to react to the world around them in a unique way by expressing ideas and concepts in which the viewer often brings their own interpretation. Having knowledge of how these ideas relate to history and culture in a global context allows a viewer to make a deeper interpretation and critical judgment of the art they are confronted with.
