Dear staff & students,
You are cordially invited to join: the Opening of「心流一笔」创作///FlowPainting
The concept of FlowPainting aims to relieve the participants’ tension via paying more attention to their emotional feeling, and extincting any unsatisfactory, negative moods, or excessive emotional energy through Flow (as psycho-energetic structure) to re-set to people’s well-beingness. Flow was proposed by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. FlowPainting helps people focusing on painting and gaining joy and satisfaction from the process. This experience seems to flow out automatically, so it is called Flow. In Flow, people have the best inner feeling, that is, they focus on painting and temporarily forget about other things, so as to establish a cognitive order, and to overcome challenges. This is often the most pleasure moment.
The Opening is the final step to complete this large-scale FlowPainting. The participates will create their Signs as Flow that leave their memory behind UIC. As Csikszentmihalyi said, there is a Flow in one's soul.
Besides, you can see that Media Arts and Design MAD major's Photography course researches on contemporary photography and digital imaging, and Visual Arts course focuses on deconstruction of the visual language in video art. The students, thus explore the fragmentized-city & culture in relating to the Big-Data contexts. From the student’s creative work, they try to investigate their vision for the future and reconstruct their self-identity as well. Finally, the students have an in-depth re-interpretation and re-creation of contemporary visual culture.
Warm Regards,
