The four pattern designs are based on the most well-known and representative plants in traditional Chinese culture in the form of the Dunhuang Mogao Cave algae. They combine Chinese colours with the colours of the Morris pattern. The aim is to promote traditional Chinese culture, and eventually the four motifs will be used in creative products such as pillows, postcards, and fans and so on.
