By using quantitative research methods and taking Wehcat and Xiaohongshu as examples, this study investigates the link between personalities, interpersonal ties, users' emotionsand behaviors in PSMU (passive social media use). It adds to people’s knowledge of users'emotions and behaviors experienced in PSMU, as well as suggests some advice for future research.
