This paper focuses on the new exploration of variants of the “Spiral of Silence” in the post-truth era. By using the method of dividing the subjects of public opinion and the time nodes, this paper analyzes the voice and emotion trend of all parties in each time period on the Weibo platform after the incident of “The Fall Death of a Student in Chengdu NO.49 Middle School”, which has multiple reversals, and summarizes the new model of “Spiral of Silence”.
