The advancement of Artifificial Intelligence (AI) and its various manifestations such as virtual agents, language model, painting generator have created a new landscape for communication that does not fifit neatly into traditional communication theory paradigms, which have largely focused on human-human communication. This disconnection between communication theory and emerging AI technology necessitates a theoretical framework that can account for the unique communicative features of AI. This research aims to bridge the gap between traditional communication theory and emerging AI technology, contribute to the development of a general framework for understanding the Human-AI communication and provide some further research directions for communication scholars. In this research, I mainly used qualitative grounded theory, in-depth interview and put focus on the motivation and outcome of Human-AI communication to study the new communication in-depth.
