Children in Northeast China in the 1980s saw the message from the world outside the black land through color TV, and this huge difference in social appearance became the force driving them to leave the Northeast China. With an old TV as a medium, the audience can see the scene of a family watching color TV in the Northeast in the 1970s. Audiences are viewing people in the television while being viewed.
