Abstract: List some problems and bad habits that often appear in singing, and how to avoid or reduce the impact of these problems on singing, so as to help improve the quality of singing.
Bio of the Speaker: Lyrical baritone singer, DMA. in vocal performance, graduate student tutor in Beijing Normal University. Studied at Northeast Normal University School of Music, University of London Music Department, San Diego State University School of Music, and Shenandoah Conservatory of Music; successively received a bachelor's degree in musicology, a master's degree in vocal performance, a diploma in opera singing artist, and a doctorate in vocal performance . He has won awards in the San Diego National Vocal Teachers Association Young Singer Competition, Winchester International Music Festival Young Singer Competition, and Asian Music Festival Vocal Competition. And successfully held solo concerts and vocal master class lectures in China, Taiwan, Macau, the United Kingdom, the United States and other places. In 2007, the solo concert at San Diego State University was named one of the best concerts in American music colleges by the "Classical Singer" magazine. He has been employed at the San Diego Opera , San Diego Lyric Opera , and the Belcantaki Opera in Washington to perform "Aida", "Tanghauser", "The Wedding of Figaro", "The Barber of Seville", "Hamlet", etc. Opera and play the main role. He has also held several public welfare vocal lectures, such as the "Music Masters Under the Grassroots" series of lectures, "A Day to Art" vocal salon series of lectures, "Dialogue with World Musicians-Public Welfare Lectures Against the New Crown Epidemic" and so on.
Based on his own learning experience, Dr. Xiaoyang ZHAO introduced to everyone the valuable experience summed up in his many years of vocal music teaching practice in a vivid and agile teaching language. A detailed analysis of common technical problems in singing was made, and effective solutions and techniques were put forward, which benefited everyone present.
