On March 14, the 4th Member Representative Conference and Leadership Transition Election Meeting of Zhuhai Hotel & Lodging Association successfully concluded at the Astor Ballroom of St. Regis Hotel in Zhuhai. The academic society of our university's THEM programme actively participated in this event, providing in-depth assistance and opening a new chapter for the subsequent cooperation between the two sides.

During the preparation and holding of the conference, THEM students showcased solid professionalism and enthusiasm. Last October, they helped plan the leadership transition conference and the liaison work for activities. This March, the students helped the association complete activity video and PPT designs, ensuring the conference's running. THEM programme's academic society president, Yu Qintian, received the vice-chairman unit certificate on behalf of the program. These efforts at different stages not only not only spotlight the programme's rising industry influence, but also create valuable opportunities for students. In the future, THEM programme and the association will further expand cooperation, offer internships, deepen students' industry understanding, and enhance their knowledge of Zhuhai's tourism sector.

Notably, He Jiang, the executive director and president of Zhuhai Huafa Modern Service Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. and the executive director of Zhuhai Huafa International Hotel Management Co., Ltd., was unanimously elected as the new president. With Huafa's strong influence and abundant resources in the industry, and as it continues to develop in-depth in the tourism hotel field, THEM students are expected to rely on this high-quality platform to participate in more practical projects, thus accumulating rich practical experience.

This cooperation constructs a spacious stage for student practice, tightening university-industry bonds. In the future, the THEM programme will consistently leverage the association's platform, actively engage in diverse activities, steadily enhance students' skills and overall qualities. It will cultivate more talents for Zhuhai's tourism industry and propel the local tourism hotel sector into a new high-quality development phase.
