At 13:30-14:30 on April 25, 2024, the lecture “Research, Education and Creative Practice in Digital Media and Arts”, organized by Department of Culture Creativity and Design (DCCD), School of Culture and Creativity (SCC), was successfully held in CC326 of UIC. Prof. Keung HUNG, the Leader of Master of Arts in Visual Arts Education and Creative Practice Programme [MA(VAECP)] in The Education University of Hong Kong, shared the trend and personal insight of Digital Media and Arts.

The lecture was coordinated by Dr. Iceman LEUNG, the Acting Associate Head of DCCD as well as the Assistant Professor of Culture, Creativity and Management Programme (CCM), and was hosted by Dr. Andy TAM, the Assistant Professor of Media Arts and Design (MAD). Dr. TAM introduced that the lecture was organized to teachers and students for sharing about the current condition and the development of the latest trend of digital media as well as arts area, and give undergraduate students some inspirations about their further study.

During the lecture, with humorous language and different kinds of case studies, Prof. HUNG introduced that the recent development of technology enabled more approaches in media communication and artistic creation, as well as provoked scholarly thought about the research, education and practice of arts in an integrated package. When talking about postgraduate study, he suggested students to follow their mind in decision-making about their major and school, and provided information about postgraduate programmes in Hong Kong and their admission requirements.
