UIC launched the Academic Advisory Programme (AAP) to

1) encourages a high level of Student-Teacher interaction and mentorship in UIC’s education,

2) help students feel they are part of UIC community, and

3) ensure that students spend their time at UIC in the most productive and positive way. The target students of AAP are Year 2-4. AA will meet students at least once per semester to provide general supervision, such as course selection, course add/drop, major/minor programme study, programme transfer, scholarship, employment, competition, internship, study aboard, and exchange; and provide safety net for students who may be experiencing physical, mental or emotional issues by acting as a point of referral to avert a crisis. Detailed AA allocation can be found on respective programme webpage. Students are encouraged to make an appointment with their AA when they need consultation.
