The management team of LETS walked into UIC to listen to presentations of the students in Culture, Creativity and Management in Chinese Cities Course on the afternoon of May 17, 2023. UIC students give useful ideas of creative activities in LETS. There are 3 groups of students whose works related to IP theme design for LETS and online solutions were awarded as excellent works. In the awarding session, 12 guests headed by Mr. MA Zhiwen expressed high affirmation and appreciation for the program achievements of UIC students and looked forward to further school-enterprise cooperation in the future. Besides, one of the judges of this event, Mr. MA Zhiwen, chairman of Lechi Holdings, encouraged UIC students to actively practice innovative ideas and maintain creativity.

Culture, Creativity and Management in Chinese Cities Course involved in this event is a free elective course for Culture, Creativity and Management (CCM) major. According to the latest developments in cultural and creative industries, this course explains the characteristics of creative cities and how to create IP suitable for cultural parks. The knowledge learned directly meets the needs of the industry. The LETS management team said that the students' proposals effectively analyzed the current situation of the park and successfully met the needs of the park’s development. Among the excellent works, the proposal on creating LETS culture IP, LETS culture mascot and applets was adopted by the management team of LETS, and this group of students was invited to assist in the implementation of the plan.

Ms. ZHAO Min, general manager of Lechi Holdings, was very interested in the students’ plan to connect LETS and the campus “Creative Bus”, and further provided professional advice for this group of students on the feasibility assessment and budgetary considerations.

The course instructor, Ms. WAN Wanqi, affirms the abilities of the students, and she expressed the hope to provide more stages for the students to display their academic achievements. “This school-enterprise cooperation is a very successful experience,” she said. She will continue to integrate her teaching into the industry in the subsequent CCM-related courses, encouraging students to be bold and innovative, as well as apply what they have learned.
