On April 13, 2024, with the leadership of Dr. Xi WANG, assistant professor of CCM, and Ms. Ivy LUO, a supervisor, students from the Cultural Policy, Economics, and Development course, went to Sumlodol Camping Town to visit and study.

Sumlodol belongs to DA HEN QIN bloc, which relies on the historical mission to develop the cultural tourism industry in Hengqin. The representative projects contain the Flower Promenade, Yacht Park, and Hengqin Municipal Exhibition Hall. Sumlodol Camping Town, as high-end multi-functional complex light luxury camping destination, it’s famous for leisure vacations, special accommodations, non-powered amusement park, and IP operations.

Ms. Lisa gave an example of the origin of the name Sumlodol: spending time happily in a place where you can see the stars. She emphasizes the importance of storytelling ability in areas such as IP design and application, cultural and creative operation, and we media operation. She explains how to build the IP and consumer psychological content of the product.

Ms. Li and Dr. Wang took a photo, and presented a souvenir of the school to express our gratitude.

Next, Nick, the teacher of outdoor education, introduced the characteristics of summer camp to students, which are exploration, limits, and practice. This can improve the skills, leadership, and management ability. Then students improve cooperative ability by experience the game of offensive and defensive arrows.
