On March19, 2025, Dr. Geuntae PARK, Associate Dean of the School of Culture and Creativity and Associate Professor of Culture Creativity and Management (CCM) Programme, and Assistant Instructor Ms. Doris XIE led CCM students, who were taking the courses “Principles of Creative Arts Management” and “Commercial Space Planning and Facilities Management”, went to Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center for a meaningful field trip.
Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the Shizimen Central Business District, close to Hong Kong and Macao, with 30,000 square meters of exhibition halls and the main venue that can accommodate 4,500 people, to undertake international events such as Zhuhai Airshow, continue to promote the upgrading of regional economic and trade cooperation, and is a core engine for the development of economic and trade cooperation and modern service industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

During the visit, the staff of the Convention and Exhibition Center led the students to explain and visit the interior of multiple exhibition halls, introduced the diversified activities such as music festivals and furniture exhibitions that were hosted by the venue, and recommended students to walk around and feel inside the exhibition hall. In the largest venue, staff told a crystal lamp that it could reach 50 square meters and introduced a combo-type partition wall system. In special cases, partition walls in the middle of multiple venues can be closed to achieve greater capacity. By measuring exhibition halls of different specifications on the spot, students intuitively understand how professional exhibition hall design can adapt to diverse needs such as large-scale conferences, high-quality exhibitions and comprehensive exhibitions.
In addition, students also visited the Mozart concert hall, which was supported by the Austrian Mozart Foundation and was named after Mozart. In terms of interior decoration, it draws on the golden hall in Vienna, with the dome inlaid with gold foil relief decoration and a pipe organ in the middle, making the overall magnificent. And through unique acoustic design, the audience at each position hears the sound exactly the same speed. Students came on the stage and sat in the spectatory to have different experiences as the performers and audience.
Through immersive visits, the students not only appreciated the scientific and technological aesthetics of modern exhibition buildings, but also deeply experienced the innovative practices of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the construction of an international exchange platform. Under the leadership of this exhibition that benchmarks the world, we are using space as a medium to continue to write a new movement of the integrated development of the Bay Area.
