2021 MAD Grade Show——Resonating Islands

The theme of the MAD FYP Exhibition 2020-21 is Resonating Islands. This is both an impressive and meaningful analogy to describe the past situation of the MAD Year 4 students, who came across all sorts of online classes during their Year 3 under the impact of Covid-19. This experience was unique, lonely, uncertain and also challenging last year as each of them stayed home like an island. However, such mode of study changed back to face-to-face study with excitement and happy noises among the students, teaching staff in the campus. Such efforts are dynamic, powerful and the whole college is lit up with strong mood of academic pursuit with passion and fun altogether.

By the end of this semester, it is amazing to see there are 53 projects being collected in total, 13 dissertation, 9 graphic design outputs, 6 animations, 5 videos, 5 sets of photos, 4 installation, 3 paintings, 2 game design, 2 sets of 3D models, 2 product designs and 2 book designs. Such great varieties of creative outputs surely witness the diversified teaching methods of MAD based on the individual pursuit and interests of each student.
